Timoteo Sports Bottle Fundraiser
When: Happening now through March 27th
Contact: Sally (sdiesslin@pcch.org)
In and effort to raise funds for Timoteo, Campus House has printed water bottles for students to collect change and donations. Bottles are available in our lobby, and need to be returned on Sunday, March 27th. You get to keep the bottle!
Timoteo was created to reach out in love with the Gospel to the many at-risk male youths of the Kensington community through football. The leadership team placed Christian men who are actively involved in a local church on the teams as coaches to be examples and father figures to the youth.
The hope was that the youth would connect with Christ and then become a part of a local church. Timoteo was not created to drag kids into a church building but rather to serve them, spend time with them, hang out, and provide the gospel in their context, while doing something that they love to do – play football.
If you have any questions, please contact Sally at sdiesslin@pcch.org. Visit the website for more information on Timoteo.

Cover Indiana Bike Tour 2011 is an annual bike ride to raise money to build homes for low-income families with Habitat for Humanity. The ride starts in Lafayette, IN and travels through the beautiful back roads and small towns of Indiana and ends with an escorted ride through downtown Indianapolis. The complete ride is 350 miles with daily rides around 50-60 miles each day. You can choose to ride the full week or choose a 3-day segment or even just a day ride.
No previous riding experience is necessary, just an adventurous spirit! The ride is challenging, but a rewarding experience as you meet new friends and ride town to town each day. We will provide you with all of the information on necessary equipment and training. Training rides are held 2-3 times weekly starting in April, so you will feel fully prepared by May!
The ride is a fundraiser and a way to raise awareness for Habitat for Humanity. Simply by riding through the Indiana towns and talking with the locals, the mission of Habitat for Humanity towards ending poverty housing will be spread.

What is Hands Across the Wabash?
A college mentor comes in for about an hour/week to join with one or two third graders from after-school programs at Hanna Center and Boys & Girls Club. The college mentor (the ‘Mentor’) will spend time reading with the third grader (the ‘Reader’), and assist them in learning to read to a younger child.
Eventually the Readers will read to a preschooler (‘Early Learner’) from Tippecanoe Child Care.
The idea is to develop the third grader’s reading skill by giving them the opportunity to read and teach a younger child. The hope is that this continues through years, and eventually the Early Learners progress to become Readers.
It is highly recommended that volunteers attend this training. Here information will be received, necessary volunteer paperwork completed, and participants will gain valuable training on how to work with children from a library employee. The actual program will begin in early February.
